2025 is an exciting time to be working at Kerr Financial! Above and beyond our normal work, we were engaged in our communities and helping each other! From volunteering at a food bank, to raising money for Leukemia and Lymphoma Research, to just having a good time together, we made sure to make the best out of our year together!

Our traditional KERR Days!

Every year, Kerr Financials’ two offices become one as the whole team gets together to learn and enjoy! This year, we took personality tests to learn more about our individual work styles as well as each other’s working styles and then strategized on how better understand different personality types and work effectively together.

Additionally, 2025 was a big year for 6 of our colleagues as they hit big milestones, hitting 10, 15, 20 and even 25 years of service with the firm. We celebrated with gifts, drinks and a fun night out!

Summer Activities!

We celebrated the start of summer with group activities and a dinner out! The Montreal office tackled a zombie and “Italian restaurant” themed escape rooms, and we quickly learned who could moonlight as private investigators, both the normal, and paranormal!

The Toronto team had a competitive bowling outing, each person trying out-do the other each frame with ever more strikes and spares. The game was full of challenge, spirit, and fun and the team enjoyed themselves on the alleyway!

Charity and Community Work

Kerr Financial values being able to give back to our communities. Each year, as individuals or as team, we strive to make a positive difference to those around us. We wanted to highlight the contributions and effort put by the team to make a difference.

In September, the team got together and partnered with Mission Bon Accueil, lending our time to help package essential daily care items that would go to individuals in need. We gave a total of 75 hours of time helping Mission Bon Accueil and the greater community.

Individually, we would like to highlight the efforts of Lauren Rudolph Heselton who participated in the annual Sporting Life 10k in support of Campfire Circle, a not-for-profit summer camp in Muskoka, for children with serious illness. Lauren has participated in this run for over a decade, and in recent years her kids have joined in the stroller. Congratulations on this achievement!

Jim Abernethy Challenge

We believe in honoring legacies of those who touched our lives. Jim Abernathy was  a remarkable individual whose strength and spirit inspired everyone around him. After his passing due to cancer, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada created the Jim Abernethy Challenge to celebrate his memory and continue the fight against blood cancers. Kerr Financial is proud to join this meaningful cause, helping to make a difference for families affected by leukemia and lymphoma. Together, we ride, we run, and we remember Jim.
